Almost like a narcotic, sugar is clawingly habit-forming. The body will take glucose from wherever it finds it. It doesn't care where it gets it. In some ways it prefers sugar and highly refined starches because the rewards are so instant, so intenselike shooting drugs straight into the bloodstream. Most people on a sugar trip are not getting a usable form of glucose. And because their bodies must have glucose, the cycle intensifies.
Sugar and refined starches really convolute and sap your energy. Most sugar freaks are nervous, high-strung, impatient, and irrational at times. Think about it. How many hyperactive children are hooked on candy, doughnuts, and soft drinks? The sugar demon grabs you by the throat and you can't shake loose. The more your body gets, the more your body craves and the more your body suffers.
Sugar contains no vitamins or minerals. In fact, it creates and inflames a deficiency of the B vitamins which are so vital to your nervous system. Besides devastating the B vitamins in your body, white sugar also causes little pits and the accumulation of mucus in your intestinal wall. The side effect is usually constipation. Eating should be a process of giving to your bodynot taking away from it. Sugar and refined starches take away far more than they give.
